FIFA World Cup 2022 Complete Schedule

It's time that you fasten your seatbelts and get ready for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022. The World Cup is almost around the corner and is going to start from 21st November 2022. Fans are eagerly waiting to see the clashes of excellent players fighting for their own country and team. We are going to increase this excitement even more by sharing every detail of the FIFA World Cup upcoming matches. 

FIFA World Cup 2022 Match Format 

This year, the FIFA World Cup is going to be held in one of the famous Arabian countries Qatar. The dates of matches are already announced and there is not much time left when the World Cup football will finally start broadcasting. The matches will start on November 21, 2022, and the final match will be played on December 18, 2022. 

The format of the match is quite simple. 32 countries are qualified this year to play the prestigious FIFA World Cup, this year. These 32 teams are segregated into 8 groups, each group having 4 teams. Initially group matches will be played, where all the teams of a group will play against each other. Hence, there will be 6 matches between each group member and overall there will be 48 group matches in total. 

The winning two teams of each group i.e. total of 16 teams will then go to the next phase of the world cup match called Round of 16. A total of 8 matches will be played at this phase and this will be the knockdown stage where the losing team will be eliminated straightly. The 8 winning teams will then go to the quarterfinals and from the 4 quarterfinal matches, 4 winning teams will reach the semi-final stage. The two winners will go for the finals whereas the two losing teams will fight against each other for third place. The final match will decide who is going to win the trophy of the FIFA World Cup this year.
